I'm a novice programmer. I start learning using VB6. Which one should I put on my application, UTF or ANSI? I try both of them but nothing seems to work. All the controls don't work. Can anybody help me?

Could you please clarify what you mean with "doesn't work"?

The Unicode edition is the better choice.
