Hi Timo
Sorry that i disturb you again. But you are the only person i know, who knows so much about the windows shell in vb.
I'd just one tiny question.... but probably there's a long answer.... isn't it?
Is it possible to create myown shell extension in vb? Perhaps to add a special function to the file's context menu?
Thanks in advance.
By the way theres no hurry

Shell extension in Visual Basic 6
Hi,
yes, it is possible. The VB5 CD (or was it VB6? :dontknow:) contains a sample for a Context Menu Extension. There're also some samples on Edanmo's VB Page.

If it is not on the VB6 Professional CD, I don't have it either, because I don't own VB5 anymore.
Have you downloaded the samples from Edanmo's VB Page?
